About the Role

As Technical Lead – Data Loop, including Simulation, Validation & Data Infrastructure, you will drive the architecture and development of scalable validation, simulation, and data platforms powering the next generation of autonomous robotic systems at ARX Robotics.

You will operate at the intersection of robotics, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, simulation, and autonomous systems engineering. Your mission is to establish the technical foundations that enable fast iteration cycles, reliable system validation, large-scale data collection, and continuous improvement of autonomous capabilities across both virtual and real-world environments.

This role combines deep hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will work closely with robotics, autonomy, embedded, and platform teams to build scalable infrastructure and feedback loops spanning simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), fleet telemetry, and cloud-native compute environments.

What You’ll BuildData Collection & Continuous Feedback Loops
  • Design robust fleet data collection and telemetry pipelines for robotic systems operating in real-world environments
  • Build scalable infrastructure for ingesting, processing, indexing, and managing large-scale operational and simulation datasets
  • Enable closed-loop development workflows connecting field operations, simulation, validation, and autonomy development
  • Collaborate with autonomy and robotics teams to improve data quality, observability, and reproducibility across development environments
  • Support future AI/ML workflows through scalable infrastructure and validation tooling
Simulation & Validation Platforms
  • Architect and scale simulation and validation environments for autonomous robotic systems
  • Design and evolve Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and largescale virtual testing frameworks
  • Establish automated validation pipelines for robotics software and autonomous behaviors
  • Drive system-level verification strategies across embedded, robotic, and distributed software components
  • Enable scalable regression, integration, and scenario-based testing workflows
Technical Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives across robotics, autonomy, embedded, and platform engineering
  • Define technical roadmaps and architectural standards for validation and infrastructure systems
  • Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices for scalable robotics software development
  • Drive collaboration between simulation, embedded, cloud, and autonomy teams
  • Support system integration, field testing, and operational readiness activities
What You Bring
  • Strong experience building distributed software systems and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of verification & validation workflows for complex robotic or embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience with simulation environments, HiL/SiL systems, or large-scale testing frameworks
  • Strong software engineering background in Python and/or C++
  • Experience with containerized infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with robotics software stacks, ROS2, embedded Linux, or edge computing environments
  • Experience working with telemetry, data pipelines, or large-scale operational datasets
  • Strong system-level thinking across software, infrastructure, and hardware integration
  • Ability to operate hands-on while driving technical direction across teams
Nice to Have
  • Experience with autonomous systems, defense, robotics, or automotive platforms
  • Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
  • Experience with simulation frameworks and digital twin environments
  • Knowledge of safety-critical development and validation processes

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
