We are seeking an exceptional Cloud Operations Engineer as we enhance the support model for our SaaS platform. Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated SRE Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the cloud infrastructure that powers Druva's SaaS platform. This role requires strong expertise in AWS/Azure, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, and operational excellence. The engineer will work closely with Development, DevOps, Security, and Product teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and support a highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure hosting Druva's SaaS products on AWS and Azure.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS and AKS.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure smooth application deployments, infrastructure readiness, and operational excellence.
- Monitor production environments and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to improve platform visibility and reliability.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities to minimise service disruptions and prevent recurring issues.
- Contribute to automation initiatives by developing scripts, tools, and operational workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Optimize AWS/Azure resource utilization and support cloud cost management initiatives through continuous analysis and implementation of best practices.
- Support security and compliance requirements by implementing infrastructure best practices, patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, infrastructure upgrades, and platform maintenance activities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely support for production environments and critical business services.
- Document operational procedures, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guides to improve team knowledge and operational readiness.
- Stay current with AWS services, cloud technologies, and industry best practices, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.
Required Skills:
- Must Have Skills:
- 3–6 years of experience in Linux (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) environments.
- 3+ years hands-on experience of Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong in Network Infrastructures.
- Strong experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems and cloud networking concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good To Have Skills:
- Knowledge of deploying containerized services with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- SQL / Database knowledge.
