About the Role:
Accomplished Staff Engineer with over 10 years of IT experience, specialising in QA Automation . Proven track record in leading automation initiatives, designing robust frameworks, and mentoring teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Adept at aligning automation strategies with business goals, integrating with DevSecOps, and driving continuous improvement across diverse technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the adoption and advancement of QA automation across Retail Distribution IT product delivery teams, ensuring strategic alignment with enterprise standards.
Define, develop, and govern quality delivery processes for multiple technology stacks, integrating with DevSecOps practices.
Architect and implement automation frameworks using Java and open-source tools (Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, RestAssured, Appium), with additional experience in TOSCA.
Design and execute performance and load testing strategies using LoadRunner, JMeter, and NeoLoad.
Automate end-to-end integration flows involving messaging systems, microservices, mainframes, and SaaS applications.
Drive Enterprise Test Data Management initiatives and establish best practices, methodologies, and standards for QA automation.
Provide governance, training, and mentorship to delivery teams, fostering effective utilisation of automation tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of automation solutions.
Identify gaps in automation processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
10+ years in IT, with 8+ years in QA automation and development using open-source frameworks (Selenium, Java, Cucumber, RestAssured, SOAPUI, SQL).
Strong experience in TDD, BDD, ATDD frameworks.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level QA automation strategies, frameworks, and governance models.
Strong proficiency in CI/CD integration (Jenkins), cloud technologies (Azure), version control (Git, Bitbucket), and test data management.
Excellent leadership, consulting, and mentoring abilities; strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
Deep understanding of SAFe Agile Framework.
Experience in TOSCA automation.
Experience in Performance Testing.
Ability to manage changing priorities, influence stakeholders, and solve complex problems.
Experience in training and mentoring junior team members.
