We’re searching for a Staff Digital & Social Media Marketing Manager.

As the Staff Digital & Social Media Marketing Manager, you will be the cross-functional lead and point person for all things digital. You will play a critical role in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that expand Aurora’s online presence and audience engagement. You will oversee digital and social media marketing efforts, extracting actionable insights to guide and measure success while managing the day-to-day execution across organic and paid channels.
The ideal candidate is an audience-first strategic thinker with a keen understanding of digital trends and social media platforms. Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize, and balance competing demands are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing
- Digital Lead: Be the digital subject matter expert to a diverse group of internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Have your finger on the pulse of all of our digital activities and be able to field questions and make recommendations to pivot when issues arise.
- Digital Strategy: Refine and own the ongoing strategy and execution of our omnichannel digital marketing strategy - aligned with our goals to drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation.
- Digital Campaigns: Lead the planning and execution of always-on and digital media campaigns across paid and owned channels. Own creative briefs to make content and assets with our creative team and external partners and vendors. Partner with our media agency to select media mix, deploy, and optimize digital campaigns.
- Search: Oversee SEO, AEO, SEM to ensure strong digital presence and search visibility that drives traffic to our owned channels.
- Website: Own content strategy and content updates to aurora.tech on an ongoing basis. Build new content modules and pages. Partner with customer marketing to make our website a more effective customer education and lead generation platform. Work with our web development agency to make back-end improvements and enhancements.
- Measurement & Reporting: Leverage analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness, social media impact, and website engagement, using insights for ongoing optimization. Own monthly KPI and digital insights reporting.
- Digital AI Tools: Leverage and/or build AI tools that scale our digital marketing efforts in areas like social listening, community engagement, and copy/content development.
Social Media
- Social Strategy: Lead the company’s social media and content strategy, and manage its growth across platforms including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Content Development: Partner cross-functionally to extend brand and product stories that engage target audiences across social channels. Lead the weekly social meeting, building a robust social media pipeline and editorial calendar.
- Community & Monitoring: Oversee social monitoring and engagement strategy (executed by digital/social associate)
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to drive innovative social strategies and maintain Aurora’s position as a thought leader.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing within an agency, brand, or B2B marketing setting.
- Proven track record as a digital marketing generalist with deep expertise in digital media, social media, and content development.
- Strong proficiency with digital marketing tools (like GA4, GTM, Sprout Social, Semrush) and ad platforms (like LinkedIn, Google).
- Expertise in social media-specific content creation and management across platforms including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, as well as website CMS.
- Experience overseeing paid media campaigns and using data analytics for optimization.
- Able to build trust and drive clear consensus with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage change, ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel and work across time zones as needed.
Desirable Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Passion to learn, or familiarity with, the autonomous technology, logistics, or freight industry.
- Design: Basic knowledge of design tools and/or the ability to visually communicate new concepts and basic mockups through AI tools.
The base salary range for this position is $127,000 - $184,500 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
