Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of Aurora’s internal applications supporting autonomous vehicle development. Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, and operations teams to understand user needs, prioritize investments, drive AI-enabled workflows, and deliver scalable products. Translate research and usage metrics into requirements, manage trade-offs and technical debt, mitigate delivery risks, and build stakeholder alignment across complex software ecosystems.

Manage and create accurate PCB and PCBA symbols, footprints, 3D models, and PLM inputs from schematic through production. Collaborate with electrical engineering, PCB layout, and mechanical engineering teams, provide PCB layout support during peak periods, and maintain library configuration management. The role requires advanced Cadence Library Creator expertise, Cadence ECAD-MCAD experience, IPC-7351 knowledge, footprint design skills, strong communication, and attention to detail.

Leads advanced safety research and quantitative data analytics using proprietary autonomous vehicle data and public safety datasets. Develops risk models, probabilistic analyses, statistical studies, and safety frameworks; communicates findings to leadership, regulators, industry forums, and cross-functional partners. Provides technical leadership and mentorship while shaping safety strategy, program execution, and external communications.

Leads global strategic sourcing for direct-spend categories including hardware, sensors, compute platforms, advanced materials, and contract manufacturing. Builds and manages a sourcing team, owns category strategy, negotiates supplier agreements, drives cost and should-cost analysis, governs approved vendors, manages supply risks, and develops resilience strategies. Partners with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Product to ensure supply assurance, competitive costs, quality, and delivery throughout commercialization.

Architects and implements enterprise security controls, platforms, integrations, telemetry pipelines, SIEM infrastructure, and automation protecting endpoints, identities, internal systems, and data. Partners with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering to embed security requirements, conducts architecture reviews, leads cross-functional projects, and develops risk-prioritized remediation plans. Leads Aurora’s Detection and Response and Security Operations Center organizations across vehicle, cloud, and enterprise environments. Owns cybersecurity strategy, detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, vulnerability management, 24x7 monitoring, staffing, metrics, and executive incident communications. Builds and scales teams, oversees security tooling and architecture, drives remediation, and ensures continuous improvement in SOC maturity and operational effectiveness.

Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend services and fleet management systems for autonomous vehicles. Partner with software, hardware, infrastructure, product, design, and operations teams to deliver reliable AWS-based microservices, vehicle communication systems, and asset management solutions. Establish high-availability infrastructure, support product lifecycles, mentor teammates, and promote engineering excellence for safety-critical commercial operations.

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data lake and warehouse infrastructure, and cloud-based data platforms. Optimize systems for performance, reliability, security, and cost while implementing monitoring, governance, and data quality practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, engineering, and product teams to deliver reliable data solutions and improve the data ecosystem roadmap.

Leads signal and power integrity implementation for autonomous-driving hardware, sensors, PCBs, high-speed channels, and SoCs. Develops simulation methodologies, models complex connectors and cables, characterizes channels against standards, and validates high-speed interfaces in the lab using oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and TDRs. Requires advanced electrical engineering education, 8+ years of experience, expertise in high-speed interfaces, electromagnetic modeling, SI/PI tools, transmission-line theory, PCB fabrication, and laboratory testing.

Design, implement, maintain, and test high-precision vehicle localization software for Aurora’s autonomous driving fleet. Develop pose estimation solutions using high-rate sensor data, verify system safety and efficiency, and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across product teams. The role requires expertise in C++, Python, state estimation, sensor modeling, spatial transforms, linear algebra, and probabilistic estimation, with robotics, autonomous vehicle, machine learning, or GPU experience preferred.

Lead supply chain readiness for next-generation hardware programs from prototype through high-volume manufacturing. Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, BOM clarity and cost, supplier resilience, dashboards, metrics, executive reporting, and process automation. Coordinate engineering, sourcing, supplier quality, FP&A, and program teams to ensure material readiness, cost targets, data integrity, and scalable supply chain processes.

Leads the architecture, engineering, integration, governance, and AI automation strategy for Aurora’s global finance and ERP platforms. Oversees financial workflows, procurement, revenue recognition, manufacturing resource planning, data governance, compliance controls, and secure integrations with banking, go-to-market, and supply chain systems. Partners with Finance, Sourcing, Operations, and Security leaders to build a scalable enterprise technology backbone.

Define and maintain system architectures for complex hardware/software products, translating requirements into specifications and architecture artifacts. The engineer provides onsite technical support, leads continuous improvement and rapid problem-solving activities, guides design-for-manufacturing decisions, and coordinates internal teams and contract manufacturers.
