Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will work on:

       Build Management

o   Management of Build Servers, including updates, backups and recovery, deployment of new ones as needed, and archiving infrastructure as part of release process

o   Management of Jenkins builds, including creating new ones as needed, optimizing builds to keep CI under 10min, investigation and resolving complex build failures

o   Management of CMake build configuration and bash/PowerShell build scripts.

o   Hands on experience in groovy script for jenkins pipeline

o   Initial contact for helping the team with tool issues, such as Coverity, Valgrind, GCov, Sonar, etc

o   Automation for monitoring key software metrics using the Digital Health Dashboard

o   Develop and manage automated build strategy and Jenkins build pipeline that is consistent and reliable at producing software builds and deploying to HW targets for test

o   Continued investigation into better tools for the team to use

o   Lead CSV efforts on our tools

o   Identify and propagate the best practices and processes.

o   Develop an efficient deployment process of the artifacts.

o   Monitoring the health of all the build servers every day .

o   Quickly looking into and fixing if any issue occurs with the build servers.

o   Supporting the automation team in increasing the productivity.

       Infrastructure Automation

o   Develop and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration

o   Leverage shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

       CI/CD Implementation:

o   Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.

o   Ensure continuous integration and delivery of applications with a focus on speed, reliability, and repeatability.

       GitOps Practices:

o   Implement GitOps methodologies to manage and synchronize infrastructure and application configurations using version-controlled repositories.

o   Collaborate with development teams to enforce best practices for version control, branching, and code reviews.

       Security Implementation:

o   Implement security measures throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and access control.

o   Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.

       Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

o   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and streamline processes.

o   Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.

       Continuous Improvement:

o   Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and implement enhancements.

o   Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps.

       Documentation:

o   Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

o   Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members.

Required Qualifications:

       Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with at least years of experience 11 years

       Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on the mentioned technologies.

       Proficiency in shell scripting, especially Bash or PowerShell.

       Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (Git).

       Familiarity with GitOps practices

       Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

       Strong understanding of AWS Services, architecture, and best practices.

       Strong background in scripting, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code practices

       Strong knowledge on Unix based operating systems & workload management and networking systems.

       Proven ability to lead and mentor a DevOps team.
