Base pay starting at $21.91 per hour, up to $23.04 per hour, based on Education.

The Staff Development department supports the continuity of comprehensive, cost effective, quality person-centered services by ensuring a competent workforce and supporting strategies that enhance the quality of the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Essential Functions- Oversees the creation and maintenance of all data regarding training records for employees, including contractors. Types of data include; New Employee Orientation, Work-site Orientation, Annual Training, In-Service Training, Client Specific Training.
- Audits and ensures compliance of federal and state laws and mandatory training.
- Works with other departments in the coordination and creation of training reports.
- Provides training reports and/or copies of training records and correspondence to OIG, DOJ, Risk Managers, Human Resources, etc.
- Develops and implements training programs that increase employee commitment and builds a climate of trust, continual improvement, and accountability.
- Evaluates current data management for employee training records and recommends changes and improvements to the Training Coordinator/s as needed.
- Collaborates with IT to develop, manage and maintain technology requirements and applications that support the successful deployment and administration of training.
- Creates and runs queries in data system (e.g. AS400, etc.).
- Notifies employee of training needs as applicable.
- Actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance of employees.
- Assists staff development and training personnel with various needs and projects.
- Consults with departments to develop and deliver customized departmental training solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or other appropriate administrator.
- Must be able to record/enter data neatly into computer system, accurately, and objectively, consistent with New Vista Hazelwood requirements.
- Must be Proficient with Microsoft Outlook,Word, and Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have execellent verbal and written communication skills.
