About the team and the role:
eBay Ads is a multidisciplinary craft, involving a wide variety of on-site and off-site advertisers, merchants, content, promotions, and products. Our advertising tools offer eBay sellers the ability to reach buyers at different points of their shopping journey with a variety of advertising solutions. You will have an opportunity to increase a seller's ability to increase their sales and engage with buyers through a variety of experience both on and off eBay.
As a Staff Designer on the Ads Design team, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead collaborative cross-functional, cross-domain projects that bring end-to-end buyer and seller marketplace experiences to life for our customers.
What you will accomplish:
Represent the customer’s needs, expectations and mindset to help inform the best experience that’s right for them and for eBay
Design end to end experiences and interactions or other complex experiences which have AI as a core capability
Work with design and product leadership to ensure a cohesive and focused product vision
Take a hands-on approach in creating prototypes, diagrams, and production ready design work to support this effort
Develop effective design approaches for surfacing user needs, exploring potential solutions, delivering practical design deliverables, and synthesizing design work into systems of reusable components
Synthesize industry trends, internal and third-party research, team insights, business priorities, and partner feedback into actionable UX strategy and design execution
What you will bring:
10+ years of professional experience in product design with experience as an IC design leader in working across large cross-domain and cross-functional projects that define an end-to-end customer experience
Outstanding portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of design and product strategy across web-based applications, consumer experiences, and mobile products
Experience driving product design for end-to-end programs and strong understanding of user-centered design processes in agile, cross-functional teams
Experience using design thinking methods to drive consensus and collaboration across a large organization
Proactive collaborator and communicator with a track record of anchoring teams and building strong, cross-functional partnerships
Experience with large organizational design systems, contribution methods and opportunities for growth
