We are looking for a Staff Analyst – AI and Data Strategy to join our IT/Data Strategy department. This is a hybrid role based in Mohali/Bangalore, reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence.
You will be primarily focused on building an AI-ready data foundation and delivering high-impact analytics and AI solutions across teams like Engineering, R&D, and Security. By establishing trusted, governed data through a robust semantic layer and single-source-of-truth models, you will drive consistent insights, self-service capabilities, and confident AI adoption across the enterprise.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Operationalize AI in analytics by leveraging LLMs and agentic AI for ad-hoc insights, and establishing governance guardrails
- Help build and maintain data models and a semantic layer, collaborating with data engineering to develop DBT models and design semantic views for BI scalability
- Scale enterprise BI and governance by deploying governed content, implementing role-based access controls, and driving adoption through enablement
- Deliver executive-ready analysis by producing high-impact narratives using GSuite and Snowflake, translating business questions into data-driven insights
- Lead projects that improve visibility into business metrics by driving cross-functional alignment, defining logic, and managing the full project lifecycle from requirements to adoption

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 8+ years in analytics, data strategy, or BI, with a proven impact on executive decision-making
- Expert in SQL and data modeling in Snowflake; strong experience building production DBT pipelines (sources, staging, marts, tests)
- Proven track record delivering complex analyses using GSuite and AI tools, comfortable with LLM-assisted workflows
- Experience defining and enforcing metric standards, semantic modeling, and establishing a single source of truth; deep understanding of lineage, metadata, RBAC, and KPI ownership
- Hands-on with BI tooling for building dashboards and governed data sources; strong project management skills for scoping, agile delivery, and stakeholder alignment
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Expertise in AI and agentic analytics, including text-to-SQL, conversational BI, and retrieval-augmented generation, with a focus on evaluation for accuracy
- Proficiency in Python for analytics applications (e.g., Streamlit) and ML-assisted workflows, alongside familiarity with APIs and write-back patterns
- Experience in data governance aspects such as building metric catalogs, defining semantic views, publishing certified datasets, and maintaining production standards for DBT models
