About the role
We are in search of a Staff Data Analyst based in India to play a crucial role in scaling our analytics operations within the Center for Data and Insights (CDI). In this position, you will collaborate closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders worldwide, engaging in ad hoc analysis, storytelling, dashboard creation, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Analysis and Visualization: Perform comprehensive data analysis to uncover trends and insights, creating impactful visualizations that effectively convey findings to diverse stakeholders
- Strategic Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with global internal partners, facilitating discussions about analytics needs and aligning on project goals and expectations
- Dashboard Design and Development: Lead the design and distribution of certified dashboards using Tableau, ensuring they are tailored to meet the strategic needs of various departments and enhance decision-making
- Insightful Recommendations: Transform data findings into strategic, actionable recommendations, employing structured analytical thinking to support long-term business objectives
- Data Management and Querying: Utilize SQL and SQL-like interfaces to manage and query complex databases, OLAP engines, data warehouses, and data lakes, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance analytics processes, tools, and methodologies, fostering a data-driven culture
- Project Leadership: Take an active role in leading analytics projects, ensuring they align with departmental objectives and are delivered on time and within scope
In the role of Staff Data Analyst, you will be working as an individual contributor and report to the Director, Data Analytics. This role is based out of Hyderabad, India.
About You
You bring over 12+ years of extensive experience in data analysis, advanced analytics, and statistical methodologies, along with a proven track record in experimentation and optimization
- 8+ years of practical experience with SQL and Python, along with proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
- Demonstrated experience in building self-service analytics solutions that empower stakeholders, with a focus on usability and effectiveness
- Proven ability to create clear and actionable presentations and visualizations that effectively communicate insights to various audiences, including senior management
- Strong understanding of defining KPIs, with experience in statistical modeling, descriptive statistics, and experimental design
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for data storage, processing, and analysis, particularly in hands-on data management tasks
- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets (multiple terabytes and billions of records) to drive insights and support decision-making
- Ability to work effectively in a globally matrixed organization, fostering collaboration across teams and contributing to project success
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, providing a strong foundational knowledge and expertise
