We are seeking a hardware expert to engage and support design-in solutions with OEM and ODM customers. In this role you'll collaborate with the sales team by representing Tenstorrent requirements on customer offered platforms. You'll establish relationships with top customers, tackle hardware and software engineering problems, and help customers build a portfolio of Tenstorrent based server and platform products for sale to end users.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, Austin or Toronto.

Responsibilities:
- Assist sales and business development in guiding OEM/ODM customers through the design development process for data center systems using Tenstorrent product solutions.
- Work directly with OEM and ODM customers, understanding requirements, and leading the discussions from architecture, schematics, simulation and layout to production.
- Develop innovative HW, chip, and system architectures to extend the state of the art in machine learning performance and efficiency.
- Train customers & partners on Tenstorrent product hardware and software and handle in-depth hands-on engagement with customers on complicated projects for large-scale data centers.
- Review customers’ solution and design, support customer design boards bring-up, diagnose problems with customer designs and seek to resolve technical issues.
- Manage customer issues and quickly determine technical details of the issue to provide timely direction to the working team.
- Craft customer presentations covering top issues, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions and align with customers on issue closure.
- Collaborate across the company, work with Tenstorrent hardware, software, application engineering, and product teams to lead technical activities and customer support.
- Coordinate execution of plans at the customer site while maintaining customer communication and transparency throughout the process.
Experience & Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or equivalent. Strong academic background in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.
- Computing system knowledge with expertise in python and Linux.
- 8+ years of work-related experience in high-speed signal, system build, network or CPU/GPU.
- Familiar with hardware development tools, scope and testing of signal integrity.
- System design experience working with OEM, ODM or application engineering on enterprise servers or switches.
- Experience working at data centers on system, rack and cluster level products is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution and quality.
- Highly collaborative and able to lead and work within cross functional teams.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
