If you are a true techie at heart, come join us! Fliff is seeking a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems using Go
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Architect and implement scalable solutions to handle large volumes of traffic
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Optimize backend systems for maximum performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews

Experience Required

• 7+ years of overall software development experience
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and best practices
• Proficiency in Go or similar backend language
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in a production environment
• Experience using AWS or another cloud provider
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
