Analog Design Engineer

The Instrumentation Group at ADI is seeking a Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and simulate transistor-level integrated circuits.
  • Collaborate with a global team of engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop innovative circuit solutions that meet demanding requirements for high voltage/current reliability, high resolution, accuracy, low power, and high speed.
  • Design analog blocks including high-voltage amplifiers, class-AB drivers, comparators, and LDOs.
  • Conduct block-level feasibility studies and define specifications for new product development.
  • Adapt and reuse existing designs to meet new performance targets.
  • Oversee and support analog layout activities.
  • Assist with lab evaluation and testing to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Present technical findings and updates to internal engineering teams.
  • Mentor and train team members on new architecture and design improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electronic Engineering with 8+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
  • Strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal electronics, design tools, and workflows.
  • Proven experience designing circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supplies.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ICs from concept through design, layout, evaluation, and production release.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation or propose new architectures
  • Strong system-level understanding of analog/mixed-signal products
  • Experience with high-current/high-voltage circuit design is a plus.
  • Applicants with less experience may be considered for other relevant positions.
