Job Description:

Broadcom's GTO team is seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Staff AI Development Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI initiatives and our core business units. This is a "two worlds" role for an expert who marries deep Generative AI knowledge (agents, vectorization, RAG) with seasoned fullstack development experience.

In this role, you will not just build features; you will architect the next generation of agentic pipelines to ensure our technology stack evolves alongside the industry's rapid AI shift. You will be tasked with upleveling the existing engineering team, proposing fluid architectural pathways, and delivering production-grade AI solutions that support both our hardware and software divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Interface: Act as the primary technical liaison between GTO and internal business units to translate complex operational requirements into scalable, agentic AI solutions.

  • Agentic Pipeline Architecture: Design and implement sophisticated agentic workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, ensuring the system can handle complex, multi-step engineering tasks.

  • Fullstack Implementation: Lead the development of end-to-end applications, bridging the gap between non-deterministic AI logic and high-performance frontend/backend systems.

  • Team Upleveling: Act as a technical authority and mentor, conducting formal design reviews and proposing innovative options to advance the team’s collective AI expertise.

  • AI-Driven Automation: Identify and implement emerging AI tools and vectorization strategies to automate repetitive workflows and optimize data retrieval across the enterprise.

  • Infrastructure Collaboration: Work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure AI models and vector databases are effectively deployed and monitored within Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Software Engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling Generative AI applications.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • AI Orchestration: Expert-level mastery of LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agentic frameworks.

    • Programming: Mastery of Python and a strong foundation in modern fullstack languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java).

    • Data & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and container orchestration via Kubernetes.

    • Development Rigor: Expert in CI/CD, version control (GitHub), and Test-Driven Development (TDD) adapted for AI.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical squads, influence architectural roadmaps, and drive adoption of new technologies across a diverse organization.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for large-scale technical documentation.

  • Familiarity with the challenges of deploying AI agents within highly secure enterprise environments.

  • Ability to balance "bleeding edge" AI experimentation with the stability required for production-grade IT infrastructure
