On the Finance team, we enjoy connecting with all Ash departments to support this industry-leading organization. The Senior Accountant will be the go-to for all things supporting the accounting function and serve as a resource and partner to the Finance team and others across the organization.

Responsibilities
As the Senior Accountant, you’ll work to lead critical financial processes that support the evolving needs of our growing business. To be successful, you will:
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and results. Ensure all financial statements are supported, reconciled, and accurate for Finance leadership review.
• Manage and maintain various month end processes (revenue reporting, 606 basis conversion for broker dealer reporting, etc.)
• Oversee accounting operations and month end close tasks and processes, serving as first level review. Assist Controller with supervision of other processes as needed.
• Serve as a leadership and development resource for the accounting team.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit for broker dealer and controls-based attestation engagement.
• Be a change agent for the team, identify and implement process improvements as applicable.
• Support financial and company analysis, annual budget, and forecasting needs.

Education and experience
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting and 3+ years of experience are required
• Advanced accounting, US GAAP, and Microsoft Excel experience is required

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Two or more years of relevant accounting experience
  • Three to five years of directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in-office (Fort Wayne, IN)
