SUMMARY: The Accountant is responsible for the proper recording of the day to day transactions for the purpose of producing accurate financial statements. Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports. Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management. Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Maintain general ledger as needed.


ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting culture of safety
  • Responsible for accurate day to day and month end cash reconciliation
  • Prepare journal entries as required by monthly close process by specified due dates
  • Perform monthly reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Responding to information requests from other departments.
  • Assisting with interim and year end audit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform all work in accordance to ISO processes and procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly proficient accounting skills; GAAP knowledge required
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office (Excel), accounting software and databases
  • Excellent Time Management, Organization and Communication Skills
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Accuracy and attention to detail


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No direct supervisory responsibility. May provide indirect supervisory input.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar position preferred


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • None required

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee is required to use computer and other equipment.
  • Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to _25_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.
