Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support key accounting functions, including revenue, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and compliance reporting. This role works closely with operations and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong cash flow management.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Accounts Receivable
- Prepare weekly/monthly customer invoices based on contract terms
- Review and interpret contracts to ensure accurate billing
- Perform collections analysis and follow up on outstanding balances
- Resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with operations
- Prepare revenue accruals and provide variance analysis
General Ledger & Close
- Maintain fixed asset records and record monthly depreciation
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Support month-end close and investigate discrepancies
- Issue monthly revenue reports to organization leadership
Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and file sales tax returns
- Track KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Support
- Act as a trusted partner to Operations, HR, and Leadership
- Assist with AP entry and payroll backup as needed
- Provide support to the Controller and broader accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
