What You'll Do:
The Staff Accountant will reconcile and prepare quarterly payroll reports and forms, to prepare client financial statements, and to function as an internal auditor each month for all the processes.
Quarterly payroll reporting:
Reconciliation of the payroll processes and determination of the correct venues for taxes withheld
Reconciliation of tax payments and development of a quarter-end report
Determine who is responsible for additional costs in the event of errors
Prepare quarterly and annual tax forms
Create and review W-2 forms.
General Ledger Accounting:
Assist and counsel clients to transfer all financial information to the company
Determine proper treatment of client’s checks/register following GAAP and prepare monthly statements
Reconcile client bank statements
Respond to general financial questions the client may have
Internal Audit Functions:
Prepare monthly reports and audit internal process the company does for its clients
Determine where processing is lacking and train staff when errors occur
Develop and assess internal/external processes to better serve the clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Excel experience –medium to high proficiency
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask to accommodate rapidly changing priorities
Possess sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills
Ability to understand quality standards for own work and check own work
Ability to write and speak clearly in all verbal communications, one on one or in small groups

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $50,000-$65,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
