What you'll do

• You will report to the Accounting Manager
• Perform account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including bank prepayments and accruals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger (GL) in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Execute Fixed Asset Accounting tasks, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.VAT and other local statutory returns.
• Managing cashflow.
• Loading ad-hoc payments on banking platform.
• Group quarterly/annual reporting schedules.
• Support the monthly close process through timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks and monthly reconciliations.
• Month-end TB and trend reviews including variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the External Audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

You should have:

• Completed Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3–4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Advanced to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills essential
• Proven experience performing financial reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems will be advantageous
• Proficiency in modern accounting and financial software packages
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting principles and General Ledger (GL) functions
• Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting and asset management processes
• Familiarity with external audit procedures and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with excellent problem-solving skills
• Results-driven with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
