Why join Giga
  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.
What you’ll do

As Staff Accountant on Giga’s Finance team, you will be a core contributor to the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You’ll own key parts of the general ledger, drive a clean and efficient monthly close, and support the reporting that informs decisions at the highest levels of the company. This isn’t a seat-warming role — you’ll be working alongside a lean, high-performing team where your output is visible and your growth is real. We’re building financial infrastructure to match the pace of the business, and you’ll be a central part of making that happen. If you want to do meaningful accounting work at a company that’s actually building something, this is it.

Where you’ll work

We are an in-office culture — velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is ideally based in our San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays.

That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent if you live outside one of our hubs. If you're the right person for this role, we'll have a conversation about what works.

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including preparation of accruals, prepaid amortization, and recurring journal entries.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, including coding, approvals, and cash application.
  • Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance obligations.
  • Provide supporting documentation and schedules for external audits and tax preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial data.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points
  • CPA license or active CPA candidate.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Exposure to fixed asset accounting or project-based cost tracking.
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting or multi-entity consolidations.
  • Experience supporting an external audit or working directly with auditors.
Benefits
  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match

Who we hire

We hire people who thrive in chaos and get sharper under pressure. You don't wait to be told what to do, you spot the gap and fill it. When there's work to be done, you do it. You make decisions with the information you have, move fast, and adjust along the way. We're not looking for perfect; we're looking for people who get things done.
