We are working with a growing organization in the Atlanta area seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to build upon their accounting foundation in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This position offers strong exposure to various aspects of accounting and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Support audits by providing documentation and schedules
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
