About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing and stable organization in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career—especially candidates coming out of public accounting—who wants to transition into industry and gain broad, hands-on experience.
This role offers strong mentorship, exposure to multiple areas of accounting, and a clear path for career growth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Support financial reporting and variance analysis
- Work closely with AP and AR teams
- Assist with revenue recognition and WIP (work-in-progress) schedules
- Support job cost accounting and project tracking
- Participate in audits (financial, tax, insurance)
- Assist with sales tax and property tax filings
- Maintain and improve internal controls and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and operations teams
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- 1+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- Exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, or audit work
- CPA track or interest is a plus (not required)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
