Position Title: Staff AccountantReports To: Accounting ManagerGeneral Purpose:Performs a wide variety of accounting duties.
Responsibilities:- Prepare reports for management and the Board of Directors
- Reconcile general ledger and internal checking accounts
- Prepare accounting entries
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements
- Maintain a detailed record of fixed assets
- Write reports using report writing software
- Perform data analysis
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Prepare and assist in the filing of regulatory reports
- Provide flexibility with work schedule as needed
- Other job duties as assigned
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Previous work experience in an accounting position is preferred
- Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze large amounts of information
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Task oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a group and independently
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
