Duties/Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analyses to provide insights into business performance.
General Ledger Management:
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations of accounts and journal entries.
Account Reconciliation:
• Prepare and review account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
• Monitor and resolve outstanding items in reconciliation processes.
Compliance and Audit Support:
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist in the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights.
• Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to help management make informed decisions.
Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices.
• Assist in the implementation of accounting software or tools to enhance efficiency.
Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance, fostering collaboration across the organization.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior accounting staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge & Skillsets Required:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
