Staff Accountant

Industrial Belting & Transmission is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting team as a Staff Accountant!
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks including:

• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Processing invoices
• Reconciling bank statements
• Assist AR collections
• Reconcile accounts including AP and AR. 
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Maintaining general ledger accounts
• Supporting Senior Accounting staff in various projects as needed
• Assist with sales tax compliance in multiple states
• Answer the phones and direct calls to the correct person/department. 
• Answer the door and facilitate visitor sign-in. 
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting duties. 
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives. 

Requirements: 

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting
• Must have a solid understanding of basic Accounting principles. 
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Accounting software is preferred. 
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work on-site; Monday - Friday
• Knowledge with supplier rebates.
