About the Role 

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining AP and AR functions utilizing our AR Manager and Full service payscan via Yardi. In addition, you will be assisting the Senior Accountants in preparing journal entries. This role manages the entire portfolio with two staff members and requires four days in the office weekly.

Responsibilities:  

  • Working with Asset Managers, and other business owners to accurately code Invoices
  • Enter ACH activity in Yardi
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
  • Process cash receipts and through Yardi AR Manager
  • Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned. 
  • Resolving discrepancies, reconciling outstanding balances
  • Monitor BillPay notifications, and void and reissue payments if needed

About You 

  • 1-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field 
  • Adept at Excel formulas including, but not limited to, V-lookups, Pivot tables and sum-ifs
  • Experience with Yardi software required  
  • Detail oriented, analytical, strong organizational skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, works well under pressure and possess the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize effectively
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Compensation:

  • This position offers a base salary in the $55,000-$75,000 range, plus discretionary bonus, competitive healthcare benefits, unlimited PTO, and a 401k match.
