The Challenge to Solve

Empower small business owners with the premier commerce enablement solution for local, independent pizzerias. 

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on our US corporate accounting function. You will be supporting five international entities on daily cash, check, credit card, accounts payable and loan reconciliation, and maintenance of prepaids and accruals for the corporate portfolio. You will analyze monthly financial data, perform operational analysis and support the US, statutory and tax audits by providing supporting documentation. You will also record and reconcile cash, credit card and invoice transactions and maintain  monthly support schedules for cash, credit cards, invoices, loans, prepaids, accruals and accounts payable. You’ll support finance management and other internal customers as needs arise and identify process inefficiencies. There is ample opportunity to shift to different workstreams that the accounting team manages as you grow in your career at Slice.

Please note this is a full-time position and working hours are 9:00-17:00, Monday through Friday, and may require a shift in hours to accommodate meetings in US time zones from time-to-time.

The Winning Recipe 

We’re looking for high-energy, persistent, and adaptable individuals who succeed in fast-paced working environments. These are the core competencies this role calls for: 

• 1+ years of accounting experience and bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting and Finance
• Advanced English communication skills
• Strong Excel skills, including data tables, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc and familiarity with online accounting software, preferably Netsuite
• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from US-based manager to accomplish objectives
• Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Highly detail-oriented and organised in work and able to meet assigned deadlines
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external constituents to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
• Adaptable and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced exciting startup environment.
