Summary of the position:
The Staff Accountant works within the U.S. finance team to gather and report financial information along with company fundamentals to make business, sector and industry recommendations to the company.
At this time, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support the general accounting function, including month-end closing, monthly forecast, annual budget, account analysis and reporting
- Work with the management team to monitor actual spending versus the monthly forecast and annual budget
- Develop, maintain and improve reporting of key metrics and financial reports for the management team
- Support internal audit, external audit and other outside reviews
- Support the cost accounting and capital spending processes as needed
- Support AP and AR teams and assist with processes as needed
- Lead and/or support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience, manufacturing experience preferred
- 1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred
- CPA preferred
- Ability to identify weaknesses or gaps in processes and develop, implement and monitor solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and deliverables
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have the ability to build and utilize complex models
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting
Professional experience:
- SAP experience a plus
- Hyperion and Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus
- Successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate up, down and across all levels of the organization
- Successful candidate must be able to respond to a fast paced, results oriented, rapidly changing environment
