General Summary
Serve in a key role in the financial close process at month, quarter and year end. Deliver timely and accurate financial information. Compile and analyze financial information, prepare and record journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare and record manual journal entries.
Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations on a timely and accurate basis, identifying issues and taking the necessary steps to make corrections.
Successfully meet month end closing deadlines and needs including variance analysis and explanation.
Assist with the annual budgeting process.
Perform various daily, monthly and annual analysis of financial information.
Provide supporting schedules and explanations to internal and external auditors as requested supporting the year-end audit as well as other special purpose audits.
Monitor point of sale transactions to identify and correct issues generated at our Company Owned Retail (COR) locations and Member Cooperatives.
Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned.
Preferred QualificationsQualification
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Requirement
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solver with strong initiative
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
Work Environment
Job functions are performed in an office environment
While traveling may have contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions
Physical Activities & Requirements
While performing the essential job functions of this position, the following is required:
Continuously balance, bend, manual dexterity (fingers and hands), sit, reach with arms and hands
Frequently stand, walk, twist back and neck
Occasionally drive, crouch, kneel, pull, push, lift, carry up to 25 pounds
Must be able to speak to co-workers and customers regarding day-to-day business operations.
