Arbour Group is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join their client's organization- one of the leading organizations in the USA providing exterior and interior signage, graphics, and maintenance services, with a network of award-winning installation partners.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions to support accurate financial reporting and analyses. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and be capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Main Tasks:

  • General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Account Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Provide insights and analysis to support month-end close and financial planning.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and schedules.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required, providing financial insights and recommendations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a resident of the Philippines
  • Able to work on a hybrid/onsite work arrangement in Makati, Metro Manila.
  • Able to work following US time (night shift in the Philippines)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, sumif)
  • Preferred knowledge of QuickBooks and SalesForce/Accounting Seed
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
