NewLane Finance is seeking a detail oriented, organized Staff Accountant to assist with various accounting functions and operating activities of the Company.  The position will work cross-functionally with all departments executing tasks such as reconciliations, accounting entries, and the month end close process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

  • Perform numerous GL account reconciliations. Manage account reconciliations within an established archive platform.
  • Responsible for high volume equipment lease origination and disbursement reconciliations.
  • Support the month end accounting close process via processing required GL entries.
  • Generate and produce month end accounting reports that are required for portfolio reconciliations.
  • Validate and monitor daily GL entry transfer files for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Assist with performing related financial accounting, servicing, operating, and reporting activities as directed and assigned by management.
  • Other projects as directed and assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related Business field preferred
  • 0-2 year of experience in financial services industry preferred
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation systems
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to handle simultaneous projects and meet established deadlines
  • Must have good organizational and analytical skills and be detail oriented
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently to solve problems as well as work as a part of team on special projects and assignments

Salary Range:

$52,433.00 - $86,137.25

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
