Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Accounting: Maintain the integrity of the GL by preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring proper classification of transactions.
- Month-End Close: Lead various aspects of the monthly close process, including expense accruals, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses and fixed asset accounting, payroll reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure a timely and accurate financial close with a willingness to improve systems and processes to reduce time to close.
- Accounts Payable & Expense Management: Oversee the AP processes, vendor payments, corporate credit card charges, and employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP. This may involve reviewing and verifying invoices for GL coding accuracy and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
- ASC 606 Revenue Recognition: Assist with the proper revenue recognition for subscription-based contracts, including SSP allocations, contract modifications, and deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist in the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting. Support audit and tax requests.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Serve as a key point of contact for both external and internal customers offering prompt and professional solutions.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Identify inefficiencies in core GL processes. Partner with finance leadership to implement process improvements and automation solutions. Serve as a key team member in any finance system implementations including but not limited to completion of UAT testing, creation of new process flowcharts, and training documents.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting and/or SaaS accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a Staff role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, audit cycles, and month-end close processes; revenue recognition policies (ASC 606) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP) and advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and Ramp preferred.
