Staff Accountant

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. We are looking for a highly motivated, data-driven individual responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis to support the organization’s financial health.

This position reports to the Director of Finance and is based in our corporate office in Somerville, MA. The role is fully onsite for the first 90 days; after that, it will follow a hybrid schedule as approved by the manager and Human Resources.

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate and manage the month-end close process through financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Reconciliation and analysis of various P&L and B/S accounts.
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close process.
• Work closely with the Director of Finance on annual audits.
• Perform monthly financial reviews of certain expense types to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results.
• Creation of assets and maintenance of specific balance sheet accounts as assigned
• Bank Reconciliations
• Expense report processing
• Assist with sales tax/property tax/real estate tax filings
• Work with regional General Managers to maintain Capital Expenditure schedules and spend.

Basic Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Three or more years of accounting experience utilizing various accounting methodologies
• Successful candidate will be deadline oriented, organized, possess strong time-management skills and have strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains, Oracle, or another ERP system preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  
• Must have a reliable form of transportation 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Experience in the service and manufacturing industry preferred.
