Overall Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with NewRocket’s Accounting Manager and finance team across a wide range of accounting and finance processes and initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Perform day-to-day activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger posting efficiently and effectively.
2. Assist with the month-end close process including general ledger posting, balance sheet and revenue reconciliations, financial statement reporting, variance analysis, commission calculations, and other financial metric reporting.
3. Help prepare weekly cash flow and full P&L forecasts.
4. Help perform recurring and ad-hoc financial analyses for services projects.
5. Partner collaboratively with other departments to solve business needs.
6. Identify and help implement process improvements.

May perform additional duties as assigned.
