AutoStore seeks a Staff Accountant at our North American headquarters in Salem, NH. 

 

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the regional Senior Accountant, assisting in managing accounts payable processes and other key financial operations. Your contributions will ensure smooth and accurate workflows, making you an integral part of AutoStore's success. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Oversee the entire AP process to include:

    • Perform daily data entry using the Bill.com platform.

    • Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices.

    • Reconcile and prepare payments for vendor accounts.

    • Address & respond to vendor inquiries & discrepancies.

  • Reconcile credit card transactions against expense reports. 

  • Assist in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate posting of invoices and payments. 

  • Review customer invoices, monitor collections, and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers. 

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. 

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, assist with special projects, and implement process improvements as directed by management. 

  • Provide necessary documentation and analysis to support external auditors during annual audits and other regulatory reviews. 

  • Provide assistance in the review of financial statements on an as-needed basis.

  • Facilitate travel and expense processes, systems, and reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reporting. 

  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance the department's workflow. 

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. 

  • Proficiency in accounting software; QuickBooks and SAP are a plus. 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. 

  • Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines under pressure, and work independently. 

  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic finance industry 

  • Effective collaboration with colleagues and contribution to a positive team environment 

  • Upholding integrity and confidentiality in financial matters 

  • Passionate about professional growth and staying informed on industry trends.
