Staff Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant (CPA preferred) to manage core accounting functions and deliver accurate financial reporting to our grantors, investors, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting experience, proficiency in key software platforms, and a strong focus on compliance and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee company accounting tasks—including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition—using technology including QuickBooks Online.
• Process US payroll using Gusto and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements and detailed reports tailored for grantors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Support audit preparation by acting on recommendations and implementing procedural improvements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing and annual tax matters with our advisory firm.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings.
• Perform routine reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Arizona CPA preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, and Gusto and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
