We are hiring a Staff Accountant to support and enhance the execution of our quote-to-cash process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application. This role will be integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely billing and collections for enterprise customers. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve account issues, monitor key financial metrics, and contribute to process improvements that support WHOOP’s growth and financial health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process daily financial transactions, including bank deposits, cash reconciliations, and entries.
- Manage the invoicing process for enterprise customers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper posting to accounts receivable ledgers.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to support collections efforts and build positive relationships that encourage timely payment resolution.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and address unusual or high-variance transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales and Customer Success to address customer inquiries and resolve account issues.
- Drive process improvements, document standard operating procedures, and contribute to ad hoc projects to enhance operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
- Up to two years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a related role (experience is preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor in customer interactions.
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Tableau is a plus.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
