Primary Responsibilities: The position will primarily be responsible for maintaining and improving the current company accounting processes and assisting all departments within the organization.
JOB DETAILS:
- Create and post journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Manage companies fixed assets and depreciation schedule
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax for multiple states
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly fuel tax reports
- Assist with annual CPA review and tax preparation
- Review daily sales and taxes
- Backup accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Inventory auditing and tracking
- Assist in management of company cell phones
- Various additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Solid foundation of accounting principles, including full cycle accounting, financial reporting and GL account reconciliations
- Experience with current computer accounting programs, especially QuickBooks
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $27 - $29 per hour DOE
- FLSA Status: non-exempt, Hourly
- Full time position – 5 days per week
- Hours: Day shift
