ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada with locations in Cypress, California and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling and we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in an onsite position in Henderson, NV. The Staff Accountant is a crucial role in the finance department at ANA. You will be responsible for various financial tasks that help ensure the company's financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.

 

You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and statements. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data, as well as compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule are weekdays at 8:00 – 5:00pm.

 

This role reports to the Accounting Manager. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and up to two bank reconciliations. Prepare journal entries for all accounts with supporting documentation. Maintain Prepaid Amortization Schedule and record monthly journal entry. Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Review expenses, ensure they are in correct GL accounts. Investigate discrepancies and make corrections.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and review expenses, ensuring adherence to company policies and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, responding to audit inquiries and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Compliance: Stay up to date with accounting regulations and ensure all financial activities comply with applicable laws and standards. Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Software and Tools: Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
  • Highly skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, with an intermediate level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central & Avalara (a plus)
  • Proficient grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) encompassing accounting and financial reporting principles and best practices.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, great attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong understanding of general ledger
  • Ability to perform under minimal supervision
