Quanex is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Cambridge, OH.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to month-end close procedures, account analysis and reconciliations, and supporting financial operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring the company's financial stability and success.

 What Success Looks Like: 

  • Execute month-end close activities accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Complete account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accounts balance appropriately.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts and audit documentation.
  • Prepare sales and use tax, GST/PST, and other required tax filings.
  • Assist with budgeting processes and financial reporting.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial data integrity. 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 

The salary range for this position is $63K-$77K with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
