Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit and review student and customer account receivables for past due balances.
- Contact students, customers, and external agencies regarding past due accounts.
- Communicate with various University departments to collect documentation for proof of debt.
- Prepare monthly collections file for submission to the Louisiana Attorney General's Office.
- Oversee all communications with the Attorney General's Office.
- Receive and process monthly payments from the Attorney General's office.
- Invoice all external agencies and affiliates, including, but not limited to, military divisions, Louisiana Workforce, and various school boards.
- Reconcile weekly financial aid disbursements.
- Assist Director of Accounting Services with monthly accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Assist at cashiering window as needed.
- Assist in implementation and upkeep of internal controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience within an Accounting, Finance or Business-related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and direct experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer competency are required.
- Knowledge and direct experience with QuickBooks and Workday preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple constituencies, both internal and external to an organization.
HOURS: Eight (8) hours per day, Monday –Friday 40 hours a week. Additional hours worked as needed.
