Job Summary: We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to grow their accounting career within a dynamic organization. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Review general ledger transactions and identify issues requiring correction.
- Prepare periodic financial reports including variance analysis.
- Maintain documentation and accounting records in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience in a multi-location or corporate accounting environment.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and internal controls.
Benefits:
The position is exempt, receiving a base salary, straight time over-time, and eligible for a performance bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors including skills, experience, qualifications.
