Staff Accountant

Description

Residential Elevators is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.

The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Team Lead and provide day-to-day accounting support by preparing journal entries for accurate general ledger and subledgers while maintaining supporting documentation.

The Staff Accountant will also perform reconciliations and assist with the monthly general ledger close in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and fixed asset schedules.

· Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations to research and resolve discrepancies.

· Assist the finance team with timely financial closing procedures and variance analysis.

· Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and day-to-day accounting transactions.

· Investigate and resolve customer queries.

· Communicate with customers via phone and email.

· Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

· Assist in preparing accurate, timely financial statements and reports.

· Assist VP of Finance and/or Controller with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BS in Accounting or Finance highly desirable.

1-3 years of general accounting experience, with manufacturing experience preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
