Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Staff Accountant based in our Center City Philadelphia, PA office! This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days of work onsite each week.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing accounts reconciliations, assisting with close processes and maintaining applicable account documentation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and assisting with the monthly close process.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines, both internal and external.
  • Respond to and assist with information requests, reviewing financials statements and assisting with external audits.
  • Ensure that accounting records and reporting are compliant with GAAP standards.
  • Assist Asst Controller and Senior Accountant as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft, especially Excel, and GAAP
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify accounting discrepancies, problem solve and think critically; Strong time-management skills; Ability to work under time constraints and pressure; Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quickbooks and NetSuite

Salary Range:

$64,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft tools, especially Excel
  • Basic understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to identify accounting discrepancies, solve problems, and think critically
