POSITION AT A GLANCE

Location: Butler, PA (On-site)
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Address: 480 Pittsburgh Road, Butler, PA 16002

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support the Director of Financial Reporting by maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records while contributing to core accounting processes and month-end close activities. You will:

➤ Prepare, analyze, and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP 
➤ Perform detailed account reconciliations across balance sheet and income statement accounts 
➤ Ensure all reconciliations are accurate, timely, and properly documented 
➤ Support month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls 
➤ Identify, investigate, and communicate financial discrepancies and trends 
➤ Assist with financial statement variance analysis and profitability reporting 
➤ Maintain confidentiality of financial data and safeguard company assets 
➤ Contribute to process improvements and special projects 
➤ Collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments and branch locations


WHAT YOU BRING

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Two or more years of relevant accounting experience strongly preferred. Solid understanding of GAAP, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required for inter-company travel; must meet company insurability standards

Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting systems preferred.

 Work Expectations: Flexibility to work additional hours during peak close or reporting periods, as needed.

Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, and focus adjustment.
