As a Staff Accountant for Power Motive Corporation, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and sales/use tax & licensing support. The successful candidate will also assist in collecting pertinent information for third party audits. This individual will have a strong understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other general financial transactions within our organization.

Position Responsibilities

1. Follow company established accounting processes. Recommend accounting procedure adjustments by analyzing current processes, documenting & reporting to the Accounting Manager.

2. Support timely monthly and year-end financial close.

3. Maintain accurate and detailed reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and prepare general ledger entries, providing appropriate backup documentation.

4. Assist Accounts Payable Specialist with any needed research.

5. Participate in year-end financial statement audit preparations and any auditor field work throughout the year.

6. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

7. Other duties as assigned.

3. Ability to communicate clearly – individual must be able to communicate across multiple company functionalities and employee levels.

4. Flexibility – Must have the ability to change quickly as necessary and have multi-tasking skills.

5. Working knowledge of dealer management system (CDK/Intellidealer) preferred.

6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, ODBC) with intermediate or higher level of Excel proficiency mandatory.

Work Environment

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00AM- 5:00 PM (overtime applicable) Onsite at the Denver branch.

  • Office Setting Environment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal physical agility
  • Requires the use of both hands
Qualifications

Highschool Diploma/GED

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business accounting, or finance strongly preferred

Internship in accounting or accounting related field. 1-3 years’ experience in accounting preferred.
