Description
The NeuroMedical Center Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.
This position is responsible for assisting with general accounting functions, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and assisting with the accounts payable process and other accounting projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
- Assist with all processes involved in the preparation of monthly financial statements for the clinic.
- Maintain the fixed asset system.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with review of invoices for appropriate documentation, approvals, and account coding
- Assist with the processing, coding, and entering accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Assist with various projects assigned by the Director of Accounting.
Requirements
Qualifications: Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred and must have a working knowledge of excel. Equivalent work experience in accounting may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Equivalent work experience in accounting may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience Required: 1 year preferred.

- Working knowledge of Excel
- Equivalent accounting work experience considered in lieu of a degree
- Approximately 1 year accounting experience preferred
