POSITION SUMMARY: 

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, perform general ledger and financial reporting functions for NPH by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record revenue, payroll and expense accrual journal entries.
  • Prepare variance explanations for month-end results.
  • Prepare financial presentations for Operations.
  • Prepare income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support Operations.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit support schedules.
  • Assist with documentation of new business acquisitions and new accounting procedures.

 

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of full cycle accounting experience required
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Netsuite preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. 
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports and correspondence. 
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trend and issues and ability to solutions to address issues 
  • Good mathematical skills a must.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication. 
  • Skill in gathering and reporting information. 
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers.  Must display teamwork attitude and good inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Base pay is based on market location and will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that NPH provides to compensate and recognize our staff for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
