Position: Staff Accountant
Pay Range: $30 to $35 Per Hour
Reporting To: Controller
Work Type: On-site
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- NetSuite or comparable ERP preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
- Post bank and credit card activity on a daily/weekly basis
- Complete bank, cash, credit-card, and balance-sheet transactions and assist with reconciliations
- Maintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedules.
- Support month-end close for assigned entities.
- Assist with revenue and accounts payable reconciliations.
- Research discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.
- Serve as a backup and support to the AP group as needed.
- Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.
- Partner with operations to resolve accounting issues.
- Support process improvements and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).
- Close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
