The Staff Accountant is responsible for the general accounting operations of the Company, including AP, AP, fixed assets, lease accounting, general ledger and account reconciliations. The position supports treasury management as needed.

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Controller/Finance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a TPS brand ambassador
  • Gather and analyze information for timely and accurate general ledger entries; maintain the books and records at a high standard to facilitate internal or external audit
  • Manage the addition and disposition of fixed assets, manage monthly depreciation and maintain all fixed asset records
  • Support month end closing and financial statement preparation
  • Support treasury operations and complete bank reconciliations
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including personal property taxes and sales taxes
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • PC proficiency and expertise in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and deadline-driven
  • Ability to work 3+ days/week at the Corporate Office in Acton, MA
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance
